Studio Policies & FAQs
Welcome to New Moon Art Studio! Our policies are designed to provide a consistent, organized, and positive learning environment for all students and families. Please review these policies carefully.
Enrollment & Registration
Enrollment is confirmed after registration and required payment are completed.
Students are enrolled in their selected weekly class and are expected to attend their regularly scheduled class. Class placement may be based on age, experience, skill level, and class availability.
Requests to change a student's regular class day or time are subject to availability and must be confirmed by New Moon Art Studio.
Tuition & Payment
Tuition is charged according to the student's selected program and enrollment plan.
For recurring enrollment, tuition will be processed automatically using the payment method provided during registration. Families are responsible for keeping their payment information current.
Please contact New Moon Art Studio if you have questions regarding tuition, payments, or your account.
Absences & Make-Up Classes
If your child will miss a scheduled class, please notify New Moon Art Studio as early as possible.
Students who miss a regularly scheduled class may attend a make-up class, subject to class availability.
Make-Up Timeframe
A missed class must be made up within 4 weeks after the original absence date.
For a planned absence, students may complete a make-up class up to 2 weeks before the scheduled absence date.
If a missed class is not made up within 4 weeks after the original absence date, it will no longer be eligible for a make-up.
All make-up classes must be scheduled and confirmed in advance.
Make-up classes are subject to available space. A specific class, date, or time cannot be guaranteed.
Students should not attend another class for a make-up without confirmation from the studio.
Unused or expired make-up classes cannot be exchanged for refunds, tuition credits, or cash.
Example: If a student will be absent on October 15, an approved make-up class may be taken as early as October 1 and must be completed no later than November 12.
Class Schedule Changes
Requests to permanently change a student's regular class day or time must be submitted to New Moon Art Studio and are subject to availability.
Please continue attending the currently assigned class until the studio confirms the schedule change.
Arrival & Pick-Up
Students should arrive on time and be picked up promptly when class ends.
Parents or authorized adults are responsible for arranging timely transportation and pick-up. Please notify the studio when necessary if someone other than the student's usual parent or guardian will be picking up the student.
Art Materials & Clothing
Standard art materials required for regular weekly classes are generally provided by New Moon Art Studio unless otherwise specified.
Art activities may involve paint, clay, markers, glue, and other materials that can stain clothing. Students should wear comfortable, art-appropriate clothing.
Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuables or personal items to class.
Student Conduct
New Moon Art Studio is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, supportive, and creative learning environment.
Students are expected to respect instructors, classmates, artwork, studio property, equipment, and materials.
Parents may be contacted if a student's behavior repeatedly disrupts the class or creates a safety concern. The studio may take appropriate action when necessary to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
Student Artwork
Students may take completed artwork home when projects are ready.
Some projects may remain at the studio temporarily for drying, finishing, display, exhibitions, competitions, or other educational purposes.
Please contact the studio if you need a particular piece of artwork returned by a specific date.
Photography & Media
New Moon Art Studio may photograph classroom activities, projects, or student artwork for studio displays, educational materials, the studio website, social media, or promotional purposes when appropriate permission has been provided.
Parents may contact the studio regarding their child's photography or media preferences.
Workshops, Camps & Special Events
Workshops, camps, competitions, exhibitions, and other special programs may have separate schedules, fees, registration requirements, age requirements, cancellation terms, and other conditions.
Any program-specific terms provided during registration will apply to that particular program.
Holidays & Studio Closures
New Moon Art Studio may close for selected holidays, scheduled breaks, emergencies, severe weather, or other circumstances.
Families will be notified when a closure or schedule change affects their regularly scheduled classes.
Withdrawal & Cancellation
Families wishing to withdraw a student from weekly classes must provide New Moon Art Studio with at least 30 days' advance written notice by email.
All withdrawal requests must be sent to:
The 30-day notice period begins when New Moon Art Studio receives the withdrawal email.
Verbal withdrawal or cancellation requests are not accepted. Telling an instructor or staff member in person, by phone, or verbally that a student will stop attending does not constitute an official withdrawal notice.
Simply stopping attendance also does not constitute withdrawal and does not automatically cancel enrollment or recurring payments.
The student's enrollment remains active during the required 30-day notice period, and applicable tuition remains due. Any automatic tuition payments scheduled during the notice period may still be processed.
Recurring enrollment and applicable automatic payments will end after the required 30-day notice period has been completed.
Any remaining make-up classes must be used within their original eligibility period. Unused or expired make-up classes cannot be exchanged for refunds, tuition credits, or cash.
